Oh Happy Day!!

Today I am wearing my favorite pair of pre-pregnancy jeans! I have missed these jeans so much over the last several months so today I took a deep breath and thought I would just try to see how far I had to go before I could actually button them. When the button came together a jolt of glee ran through me! I feel like a real person again in these jeans. No more elastic waistbands for this girl. Now, this is not to say I don't still have weight to lose - my belly is still soft and mushy and I still have some extra padding around my hips but now I know there is nothing me and my favorite jeans can't do.

Yes sir, that's my baby!

Introducing Theodore "Theo" Stewart Arthur Bonneau. This is a photo of him taken yesterday on his one week birthday. He was born October 11 at 7:13am, weighing 8lbs even. Most of you have seen the other photos Rich sent out last week but each day he becomes more alert. He has discovered his thumb (I think he might be a lefty), he has gained back his lost baby weight, he gets hiccups alot and I have already been pooped, peed and, of course, spat up on. He's a really funny little goblin and we learn something new about each other each day.

Must grab this precious nap time of his to take a shower! Thanks to all of you for your good wishes!

Overdue

This picture was taken yesterday, our official due date. It was a beautiful autumn day yesterday. Perhaps that's why he decided not to come - he wanted us to enjoy the fine weather and go on a nice loooong walk to try to entice him out.

It's getting challenging. I am torn between the eagerness and excitement and the fear and the dread. Rich is annoyed he has to go to work today; he was hoping he'd have a baby to play with instead. People tell us to enjoy these last few days of "freedom" but at 40 weeks pregnant that's easier said than done, especially when many of the things I enjoy I haven't been able to enjoy for the last several months anyway.

So, that's the update for those of you wondering if you had missed anything. Hopefully there will be more news in the coming week.

Progress

This is our nephew, Antonio, Jr. a.k.a., AJ. He is just over two weeks old and as you can see, he has been taken off the ventilator! We still don't know when he will be discharged and completely out of the red, and we don't know about any long term affects on his development, but he is making slow progress.

Thanks to all of you who sent good wishes and who have kept him in your thoughts over the last couple of weeks. Let's keep that good energy coming for just a little while longer!
